Privacy
This page describes how the website is managed in relation to the processing of personal data of users who use it. It is the privacy policy pursuant to art. 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – Code regarding the protection of personal data for those who interact with www.Hightec.com web services for the protection of personal data accessible electronically from the address: http://www.hightec.it, i.e. the home page of the official Data Protection Authority (Information Commissioner) website. The privacy policy only applies to the www.hightec.it website and not to other websites accessed by the user via any links.

The privacy policy is based on Recommendation no. 2/2001 that the European authorities for the protection of personal data, gathered in the Group established by Art. 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 to establish minimum requirements for the on-line collection of personal data and, in particular, the manner, timing and kind of information that data controllers must provide users with when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection.

The “data controller”

After this website is consulted, the data relating to identified or identifiable people may be processed. The “data controller” is the legal representative responsible for the protection of personal data, based at Hightec S.r.l.

Data processing location

Processing connected to the web services of this website takes place at the above premises and is only dealt with by technical staff or other staff in charge of periodic maintenance operations. No data from the web service is communicated or disclosed. The personal data provided by the users who submit requests to receive informative material (bulletins, CD-ROMs, newsletters, annual reports, answers to queries, acts and regulations etc.) are only used to perform the service or provide the assistance required and are disclosed to third parties solely if necessary.

Type of processed data

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used for this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit while using the Internet communication protocols. It is information that is not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but that by its very nature may be used, through processing and association with data held by third parties, to identify users. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the website, URI addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the response file, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment of the user.
This data is only used to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check its correct operation; it is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the website: except for this possibility, the data on the website contacts is not kept for more than seven days.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary transmission of e-mails to the addresses listed on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to reply to requests, as well as any other personal data entered in the message. Specific summary information will be progressively reported or displayed on pages of the website dedicated to particular services on request.

Cookies

No personal user data is acquired by the website. The website does not use cookies to transmit personal information, nor does it use so-called permanent cookies of any kind, i.e. systems for tracking users. The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) required for safe and efficient website browsing. The so-called session cookies used in this website do not involve the use of other technologies that could potentially compromise the privacy of the users while browsing and do not involve the acquisition of personal user identification data.

Data submission option

Apart from that specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide the personal data contained in the application forms to Hightec or in any case indicated in correspondence with the department, to request the transmission of informative material or other information. Failure to submit the required personal data may make it impossible to receive the requested material. Please note that in some cases (not covered by the ordinary management of this site) the Data Protection Authority (Information Commissioner) may request information pursuant to Art. 157 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, to monitor personal data processing. In these cases a response is mandatory as otherwise subject to a fine.

Processing methods

The personal data is processed with automated tools for the time required carry out the operations for which it was collected. Specific security measures are taken to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access.

Rights of the concerned parties

Those to whom the personal data refers have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of such data and to find out its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration, updating or correction (Art. 7 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003). Pursuant to this Article, those concerned have the right to request deletion,
transformation in anonymous form or to block the data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to its processing. The requests should be addressed to the data controller.
